From impeller construction to renewable energy production
MAKING A SPLASH IN CLEAN ENERGY
Since the 1960s, the Special Steel Casting Division of the group has been known throughout the world as a manufacturer of high performance impellers, pumps and accessories for the hydroelectric market. It can boast about being one of the few foundries in the world capable of producing Francis impellers, even large, completely monolithic ones.
Our acknowledged leadership in the Hydro sector, and our involvement and participation in the global development of renewable energy had convinced us to start investing in hydroelectric power plants in 1999, taking us down the road of sustainability to minimize the impact our business has on the environment and to allocate a share of clean energy on the market.
Our consumption based solely on renewable energy in our factories makes us unique and distinguishes us as an industrial group. The installed power of about 4 MW of the hydroelectric power plant and solar parks allow us to develop a production of KW/year that is widely sufficient to supply the production plants of the entire group.
Safas Group uses energy produced from its renewable sources.
